Where do I start?
It’s been so long since I posted a blog about my travels and a lot of things have changed.
It feels surreal typing this but we just got home from our first vacation outside the country as a family since the pandemic.
There are so many things to write about but for now, let me tell you about our delayed flight experience with Singapore Airlines.
We were supposed to leave Manila around 2pm and board our next flight in Singapore around quarter to 6pm. But because the plane left Singapore very late, we were put on the earliest flight to Kuala Lumpur the next day.
I was bummed at first because that would mean our days in KL would be one day less and that we may spend the night at the airport (my biggest issue was this because we have an infant with us and I want him to be comfortable as much as possible).
I politely asked the ground staff if the airline could provide a room for us because it’s more than 10 hours layover. Fortunately, they gave all the passengers with connecting flights a hotel room and we were booked at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport Hotel which was literally just beside Terminal 3.
Crowne Plaza Changi Airport
The hotel is connected to the airport so it was super convenient for us. The check in and check out were a breeze and they even provided a cot for us.
I tried to book from their website to see how much one night costs and it’s around $384 SGD which is almost 16,000php. Our room had floor to ceiling glass windows that has a gorgeous view of the pool.

Here are some photos we took during our overnight stay.

Here’s the menu they gave us to choose from:

Here are some of the foods we ordered.. We had $60 SGD or 2,400+ php each to spend on our meals.

Happy people back in the room before dozing off. Truly grateful that despite the setback of having a delayed flight, we were able to experience staying in a beautiful hotel. Not bad for out first international flight as a family.
