Bored of Home Quarantine? Use This Time To Pamper Your Skin

With quarantining and chill becoming the catchphrase for the past three weeks, there’s no option but to self-isolate and practice social distancing as advised. With activities like going to the cinema or grabbing brunch out of the question, you’re bound to find yourself with plenty of time in the morning and night.

While we stay indoors, most of the time, during the current Coronavirus quarantine, your skin will be protected from pollutants, grime and UV rays. Instead of wiling away the day on social media, it’s a good idea to use it wisely and pamper your skin at home.

Start a Skincare Routine if you haven’t yet

Depending on who you ask, having a skincare routine could mean a million different things. It can simply mean using soap, toner and a moisturizer or the popular 10-step korean skincare routine.

If you’re new to the idea of a skincare routine, it helps to start at the very beginning, what skin type do you have? Dry, oily, combination?

I have simplified my morning and evening skincare routine by using Beautederm products. It’s no fuss and all you have to do is follow each step.

Here’s my current skincare:

Morning Skincare Routine

Step 1: I wash my face with Purifie Facial Brush and Papaine Soap

Purifie facial wash helps unclog facial pores, tightens, whitens and exfoliates. It leaves your skin thoroughly cleansed and nourished. Papaine Soap contains papaya extracts, as well as Vitamins A, C, and E, key ingredients that effectively smoothens, whitens, and rejuvenates skin.

Step 2: Then I use Day and Night Toner

Day and Night toner helps remove dirt buildup and make sure your skin’s pH level is just right so that it can easily absorb moisturizers and serums. The toner gives a healthy glow to your skin.

Step 3: I apply Day Cream and that’s it

This day cream has SPF 60 and natural zinc oxide to block harmful UVA and UVB rays. A superb daytime cream that will keep your face hydrated, while leaving your skin with a healthy glow and feeling silky smooth all day long. I only use a small amount as my skin tends to get oily if I apply too much day cream.

Evening Skincare Routine

Steps 1-2: Same in the morning. I wash my face with Purifie Facial Wash Brush and Papaine soap then I apply toner.

Step 3: Apply Night Cream 1

If you’ve been trying so hard to get rid of pimples and the scars they leave behind, then the Night Cream 1 is the answer to your prayer! It lightens the skin and removes dark pigmentation. It has a whitening agent that may cause peeling. So please, apply thinly.

Important: Wait at least 5 minutes before doing the next step to give ample time for your skin to absorb night cream 1.

Step 4: Apply Night Cream 2

Cool and soothing, the Night Cream 2 is in charge of keeping your skin moisturized and supple while you sleep.

This is my favorite Night Cream. It’s gel-type and glides smoothly to the skin. I have oily skin and yet this moisturizer doesn’t make my skin oilier than it already is.

Important: Wait at least 5 minutes before doing the next step to give ample time for your skin to absorb night cream 2.

Step 5: Apply Night Cream 3

Don’t skip Night Cream 3 if you want to have younger looking skin (or keep it longer 😉 )! I mean, who doesn’t? It locks in moisture while you sleep, and repairs and renews damaged cells. You’ll wake up to a skin that feels smooth and silky.

Add in Once-a-Week Facial Masks or Treatments

I have mixed-feelings when it comes to spa facials so I always opt for once-a-week masks or treatments. And it’s perfect at this time, too!

Use a Peel-Off Mask to Deep Clean Your Pores

I just started using Charcoal Charmer and I am loving the results. I will use this once a week and will write a separate blogpost about the result.

This is one of my favorite products and go-to mask. It’s great for people who develops blackheads and whiteheads easily and have visible tiny facial hairs.

I still have a lot of work to do and if I’m not gonna be careful, I know I would end up overwhelmed and stressed. This is why I’m conscious of taking breaks because it’s so easy to work for a straight four hours and then get to that burned out state 🤓

After so many weeks I also get to write in my journal again which I haven’t done in a while. I finally got myself to write everything that’s been worrying me and bothering me. ⛈

Never knew I could miss being in an airport yet here we are. 😅 Looking forward to the day when we can #travel freely again without these restrictions.

This was one of my most relaxed flights  despite being one of the longest.. From Rome to Paris to Hong Kong and finally to Manila. I’m pretty sure I was exhausted but was excited because I know someone was waiting for me at the airport. 😅 And in my husband’s words “he followed his heart and it led him to the airport” 🤣 And that was the last time I traveled with my maiden name 😂

Who else misses traveling as much as I do? 😭 Bali, Budapest, Scotland, Niseko, when will I see you? 😌

Sharing this reminder about #selfcare 💖 The pas Sharing this reminder about #selfcare 💖 The past few days have been crazy and I feel so overwhelmed with everything that I feel like I can’t get anything done. As soon as I tick one off on my to-do list, a couple of things would pop up and add more to it. 😌 Anyone relate to this? 😆

I’m pretty good with getting things done, but not being able to #travel or work in cafes for a while has seriously affected my #productivity 🥴 So if you’re currently #workingfromhome and you feel like your productivity has dwindled down, changing your workplace could do the trick.

A lot of people who #workfromhome today aren’t used to this kind of set up and could feel burned out or have a hard time separating work time and home life.

Today, be more #mindful and try to create a schedule that works for you. Don’t forget to add #selfcare activities because that’s one of the most important things 😊

I still have a huge chunk in my #todolist but I’m pumped to smash them all before the week ends 😆🥂

Listening to music can also help, at least for me. I love listening to #LoFi and chill tracks and my current favorites are Take Me by @miso.music (Thanks to @lalalalisa_m 😍) Windowpane by @matthaiostbw and Day 1 by @hellohonne 🎶
