“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” – Saint Augustine
I’m so excited to write this post because it’s about travel! ๐ Tonight I’m sharing how to create a travel journal. I prefer to do it the old fashioned way and use my notebook but I also like to find free printables and attach it with stickers in my travel journal.
I love this travel theme notebook from Typo Shop. I bought this one in NU Sentral in Kuala Lumpur.
These are some of my journals. I always bring these with me when I travel and most of these are from Typo Shop. I bought the stickers and metallic pens there too. Iย felt like I was in a candy store! I wish I could’ve bought one of each items displayed *ughhh*. Keep dreaming, girl!
Here’s the front page of my travel journal. Not too shabby ๐
After my front page, I wrote a list of the countries I have easy access (no visa/easier visa processing). I know jealousy is not a good trait but I am jealous of German passports! German passport holders can go almost (or is it really all?) anywhere without the hassle of getting visas. I have had two visas rejected *sobs* and it wasn’t at all great. It makes you question your life. Seriously. And you have to pay a lot on top of that.
Here’s a sample of a page in my travel journal. And ofcourse it is Germany ๐ Hallo, wie gehtz? I studied Deutsch last year but I have never opened my German book and Language app for months.
First I write my destination, then my bucket list for that country. I would leave some space for notes and I have research, planning and savings on the opposite page. I use the savings to jot down my expenses and some notes as to how I’m going to save up money for my trip.
I have a gift for those who are looking for a free travel journal printable. I created this using Mac’s Pages and this is the first time I have done this ๐ You can download the PDF version here.
I hope you guys like it!
