Maskne…
I’ve never had this problem before the pandemic so having maskne was new to me which is why I’m excited to share what products worked for me as it may work for you too.
So just when I thought my acne couldn’t get any worse, I had hormonal acne and my skincare routine at that time was clearly not working.
Here’s how my acne looked when it started:
I tried different products for MONTHS and I’ve finally found what works for me and my lifestyle (I rarely got time for myself nowadays so I need to find products that are “multitaskers”).
Here are all the products I currently use:
Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam – It’s actually my sister’s cleanser haha But since we share a shower room, I use her cleanser whenever I take a shower. (Day cleanser)
Senka Perfect White Clay – I use this for days when I skip washing my hair and at night time. (Day or Night cleanser)
Beautederm Beauty Massager – I use this with Senka Perfect White Clay.
Ever Organics 95% Tomato Soothing Gel – I use this morning and night. I use it as a mask sometimes at night too (I apply a thick layer than I usually do at night. I love how the gel feels on my skin especially pag naka–aircon haha).
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% – Not gonna lie but I just use this whenever I remember to use it or when I’m not lazy. LOL This is an extra step for me.
Beautederm Day Cream – I only use this sunscreen because I got this at a cheaper price before. After I use it all up, I’ll probably go for another brand or try Anessa.
Most days: Cleanser, moisturizer and day cream.
Some days: Cleanser, moisturizer, serum and day cream.
Here’s me today. Finally, no more maskne and hormonal acne! 🖤
I guess aside from knowing which products works for me, another thing was to have a simple skincare that didn’t require a lot of time, something that’s easy to stick to.
The 10-step korean may be a great routine but I’d be too tired after step 3 😆.
Stay tuned for more tips!
