I have lived alone a couple of times and I am really excited to have my own place. But right now, I am very much enjoying the room I designed in my parents house where I have my own workspace. Although in the future, I would really like to have my own house.
I am really into minimalism and lately I’ve been obsessed with anything white. I already own a lot of black stuff from clothes to bags to my decors so I was thinking maybe I should start planning my ideal house too.
I like the hotel type right now so a condominium would be a great option at the moment since I am still single. Even if I get married, I would still like to live in a condo unit if we don’t have kids. I like the convenience of condo style living and it usually all has the amenities that I need. I really enjoyed my time when I lived in a condo in Cagayan de Oro. It had a gym, a pool and a wide area where you can jog and do some outdoor exercises.
But since I’m planning for the future, I chose to plan a house instead of a condominium. For the colours, I would probably stick to black and white. Even if I was living in a condo, I think I will still stick to a black and white theme.
When I was living with my brother, I loved my room in their place because it had really large glass windows. The natural light is also perfect for taking pictures. Since I can’t sleep with even just a hint of light, I would definitely need blackout curtains.
Since I work from home, it’s important for me to have my own workspace. I have already given up my bad habit of working from my bed because I always, always feel sleepy when I work from there. I couldn’t separate work from sleep so I had sleeping problems. For my work area, I’d love to keep everything minimal. But I also want to have all the essentials I need for my work.
After working for years on my laptop, I finally felt the need to have my own desktop computer. And I want more than one screen.
As an introvert, I like working indoors but to spark up my creativity, I want to have an outdoor workspace which I can also use as a reading nook. I would definitely add a lot of plants since I like the relaxation and zen-feel that they bring.
Another space I would love to focus on is the kitchen because I am a foodie. I love to cook and prepare my own meals. I’d have large windows, marble designs and countertops, complete spice rack, baking tools and a whole lot of fresh foods.
For some reason, bathrooms are really important to me even in the hotels or hostels that I stay at when I’m traveling. I’d love to have a bath tub and a different shower area.
I have been into PC games since I was young so now that I’m older, I want to have my own game room (with XBOX) that can also be a movie room. Watching movies or TV series is my favorite past time if I’m not reading. Because I don’t have an unlimited internet, I only watch game plays on YouTube. When I get my own unlimited connection, I would definitely start using my Steam, Twitch and Blizzard accounts.
And last but not the least, I’d like to keep it simple for my bedroom. Comfy sheets and pillows.
