Instagram launched their Business Tools last year and as a Social Media Manager, I came in late for the party.
I haven’t switched my clients’ accounts to Business because I was old school and I didn’t really think it would be any different. But this year, I changed my mind.
Switching to Business account made me understand each businesses’ followers and monitor the growth. One of my current clients, NutriLounge, an IV Therapy clinic from Washington DC, has been open for this change. It’s a new account so it was off to a good start.
I use Hootsuite Mobile (iOS) to schedule and publish my posts. It’s not only convenient but it’s also great when you’re in tight schedule or traveling. It will notify you on the time you scheduled your post.
Here’s how your screen should look like when you switch to a Business profile.
The Stories Insights is the best feature because it’s like Facebook insights. It tells you almost everything about your page, about your followers and your posts that are performing well.
Another thing I really liked about the switch is your business being more accessible to your followers. There is a Call, Email and Directions button that they can click right away. How cool is that?
I haven’t tried the Promotional Ads of the Business account yet so I’ll be quiet about that part for now.
