I finished my fitness training an hour ago and after I ate dinner at a Turkish Restaurant, I’m now writing this post at Caffe La Tea sipping Chamomile Tea with Honey. Ever since I have moved in Cagayan de Oro, time was not an issue anymore. I could go home early or late, it doesn’t matter. I must say, I am loving it! π Thanks to Grab, it’s very easy to get a cab! No more waiting outside. With just a few clicks, you can book a ride.
Anyway, it’s my 3rd week now living alone and I have discovered a lot of things. I have done a lot of things, bought a lot of things and ate in a lot of places. What I really enjoyed in my move is the solitude I have. And I definitely own my time. Sometimes I start my day really early, sometimes I start it really late. I have my mini goals every day and it doesn’t matter if I start early or late as long as I smash my goals for that day.
I have been so inspired by Kalyn and I’ve watched a lot of her videos on youtube which helped in a big way. How to plan my day, how to be inspired when you’re in a rut, how to diy, meal preppinβ and the list goes on and on. As always, I’ve listened to a lot of TED Talks and Tony Robbins podcasts or videos.
One of the main reasons I wanted to live alone was to reinvent myself and develop better habits. I want to take control of my life, that includes my mind, my soul and my body. Every day I make time to read, learn, reflect, do devotion, write in my journal, be active and show kindness to others. It hasn’t been easy but so far I am doing good. The only time I wasn’t on track was when I missed one training session. And I ate foods I wasn’t supposed to eat. haha I want to get a Starbucks planner but I just couldn’t drink coffee that much so I might just buy a planner and get it over with. LOL.
The thing that’s getting out of hand is my spending. Uh-oh. I’m so guilty of a lot of unnecessary spending. One of which, is my BFF card. It costs 2,500 pesos for one card and because I’d like to avoid awkward conversations with strangers, I said yes to the waitress. This is one more thing I need to work on. Learning to say no. LOL.
If you’re living alone and ran out of things to do, here are some ideas I have for you (I have done everything in this list LOL):
- Take a long shower.
- Pamper yourself. Do a body scrub. Use a face mask.
- Go out! Seriously π Get some sun!
- Drink coffee at a cafe.
- Place yourself in awkward situations.
- Visit places you’ve never been to.
- Do things you haven’t done before.
- Watch videos, movies, series.
- Listen to your favorite music. The older, the better! π
- Learn a new hobby. I started learning calligraphy and I still suck at it haha
- Enrol in a fitness center. Push yourself.
- Update your wardrobe.
- Try different cuisines.
- Watch a movie in the cinema alone.
- Sleep in once in a while! π
- Meet up with your friend/s.
- Explore places on foot.
- Treat yourself.
- Sing. I do karaoke almost every night. Seriously! haha
- Last but not the least, do whatever makes your soul happy.
I’d still want to write more but my Grab ride is here. See you next time!
