Uncle Tom’s Cabin is one of the newest hotels in Cebu located at M.P. Yap Street. It is quite hard to find the hotel so the best option would be to go with a GrabCar.
This hotel is best for solo travellers because they have a single room and for digital nomads because the internet is stable and fast. I booked through Agoda because it’s cheaper than booking directly at the hotel.
What I like about the hotel:
- Fast, stable internet
- Comfy pillows
- Delicious free breakfast
- Affordable massage compared to other hotels
- Aircon was quiet and cool
Least Favourites:
- Elevator didn’t work twice so I had to bring my big luggage from 5th floor to Ground floor
- The staff needs to be more attentive
The restaurant (also my workplace during my stay)
It’s a small bed but a really great one at that 🙂 The pillows are so comfy too.
The room have all the basic amenities and even has a cabinet ^_^
And here’s the TV I never used ^_^ The internet in this hotel is so good so there’s no need to turn on the TV 🙂
Dental Kit, Shampoo and Soap – even better than more expensive hotels.
This is my favorite part of the hotel. I’ve been working here during my stay and I was able to catch up on my deadlines. Seriously, hooray for fast internet connection! 🙂
This area is better at night than in mornings because it could be pretty blinding on daytime. The music is also really good. Great taste I must say 🙂
I’ve read in the reviews that the breakfast wasn’t good. I beg to differ. It wasn’t magical but it was delish. Maybe because it was familiar to my palate? The fish was crispy and the garlic rice tasted really good! Again, for the rate I got this room for, everything is a bonus!
Last breakfast. Yep, ordered the same thing. 🙂 And my favorite Beauty Infusion from NeoCell.
